Graduate Student

I am originally from Jacksonville, FL, and earned my B.S. from the University of Florida. My fascination with birds began in my childhood backyard and grew into a passion during my undergraduate studies and subsequent fieldwork. This journey led me to focus my research on birds as model systems for exploring ecological questions.

My broad interests include landscape ecology, movement and migration patterns, and the ecological impacts of climate change. At the University of Texas, I will be studying Green Jays in Southern Texas, with a focus on understanding their genetic lineage, community structure, and the ecological drivers of their range expansion.

I’m excited to contribute to a deeper understanding of how environmental and genetic factors shape avian populations in dynamic landscapes.
