Ecuador Fall 2026
Posted October 07, 2026
The work in Ecuador is going well. I have placed 16 sensors, a combination of BirdWeather PUCs and our custom built pi-based devices. BirdWeather has a nice live map where you can view the sites (scroll to Ecuador) and live species detections. These data will be important for tracking changes in avian communities with climate change.
I will return to Ecuador for the second half of my Fulbright next summer. I am actively looking for donations to expand this network, so please reachout to me if you can help.
I have seen a few birds along the way.
